| Angi, roof cleaning in the Portland area | $548 | $390 to $720 | $200 to $1,125 |
These are reference points for roof cleaning, not quotes. Moss-heavy, steep or hard-to-reach roofs can land above them.

What drives the price
- Roof size and how steep it is
- How much moss there is and how long it has grown
- Access: tall trees, tight spaces, difficult slopes
- Roof material, since cedar shake and tile need gentler handling
- Add-ons such as gutter cleaning, a preventive treatment or zinc strips
What a quote should include
- Exactly what will be done, including how moss is removed
- Whether gutters and downspouts are included
- Any preventive treatment, and how long it is meant to last
- Any regrowth guarantee, in writing
- Proof of liability insurance and the Oregon CCB license number
Compare fairly
Get at least two quotes and ask each company to describe the same scope. The cheapest quote is not a bargain if it covers less work or uses high-pressure washing on your shingles.
Red flags
- Pressure to sign the same day
- A very low price with no description of the work
- No insurance or no license number
- High-pressure washing on asphalt shingles
- A large payment up front
